Creating Action Requests

How to create action requests for locations

Updated over 7 months ago

Action requests are the buttons that guests see when they scan the QR code on the front-end. The function can be anywhere from sending a notification to assigned staff or teams, sending the guest to an external website, opening a PDF file, and much more.

💡Action Requests can only be assigned to locations. You can not create an action with out any locations. Feel free to check our Locations and Location Groups article for more information.

Creating An Action

💡An action request can only be activated if there is staff assigned to it.

While the Listo team continues to add more action types regularly, these are the available action requests that can be used as of today.

  • Request - An action that sends a notificaton to staff. Commonly used to call an assigned room attendant or server.

  • Text - An action that allows text to be displayed on the guest front-end. Commonly used for important venue announcements or reminders.

  • Feedback - An action that allows guests to leave real-time feedback.

  • Link - An action that sends a guest to an external link or PDF file. Commonly used for venue websites, merchandise, or PDF menus.

  • Phone - An action that allows a guest to make a direct phone call to a set phone number.

Congratulations! You now know how to create different types of Action Requests, how to assign staff to the request, and how to activate it.
